Senior Test Manager - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Transformation

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Test Manager to join a major NSW Government Microsoft Dynamics 365 and cloud transformation program.

This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for establishing and governing the end-to-end testing approach across a complex, vendor-led transformation involving Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure, SQL, system integrations, data migration and business process change.

The Role

Working closely with delivery vendors, business SMEs, architects, technical teams and program leadership, you will lead test strategy, planning, execution oversight, defect governance, quality reporting and release-readiness assurance.

You will maintain clear client-side accountability for test assurance, business acceptance and release readiness across all testing phases.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and govern end-to-end testing activities across the transformation program
- Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, schedules, quality gates and completion reports
- Oversee SIT, UAT, regression, integration, end-to-end, performance and production verification testing
- Lead testing across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, integrations and data migration
- Manage test execution, defects, risks, dependencies and quality reporting
- Coordinate UAT workshops, business participation, acceptance and formal sign-off
- Monitor vendor testing performance and maintain clear accountability between client and vendor teams
- Provide evidence-based release-readiness and go/no-go recommendations
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, audit and quality standards
- Drive test automation, continuous improvement and effective use of Azure DevOps
- Lead and coordinate testers, business SMEs and onshore,

About You To be successful, you will have:
- At least 10 years' experience across software testing, quality assurance and test management
- Senior accountability for test strategy, governance, delivery outcomes and release readiness
- Demonstrated hands-on experience leading testing for Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations
- Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dataverse, Power Platform, Power Apps and Power Automate
- Experience testing workflows, business rules, security roles, role-based access, forms, views, reports and configuration
- Experience leading testing within large, complex transformation or legacy-system replacement programs
- Strong experience across SIT, UAT, regression, integration, data migration, performance and end-to-end testing
- Experience testing APIs, middleware, integrations, data flows and legacy interfaces
- Robust SQL skills for test-data preparation, validation, reconciliation and troubleshooting
- Experience using Azure DevOps Test Plans or an equivalent test-management platform
- Strong knowledge of defect governance, quality gates, test evidence and release-readiness reporting
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor-led delivery and cross-functional testing teams
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, communication and escalation skills
