About the Role

Talent Flow are seeking a Technical Consultant Specialising in ServiceNow to join an existing inflight ServiceNow delivery team.

This is a mid-level; hands-on consulting role suited to someone who can bridge business requirements and practical ServiceNow platform implementation. The role focuses on translating business requirements and user stories into clear technical designs, then configuring platform-native ServiceNow solutions using low-code/no-code capabilities.

This role is not intended to be an App Engine application development role or an integration-heavy developer role. Instead, the focus is on configuring and extending ServiceNow using standard platform building blocks, including forms, flows, workflows, tables and data relationships.

The successful candidate will work within an established delivery team, collaborating with business analysts, functional consultants, developers, architects and customer stakeholders to deliver maintainable, user-focused ServiceNow outcomes.

What You’ll Do

- Translate business requirements, functional designs and user stories into clear, practical ServiceNow technical designs.
- Configure and implement ServiceNow solutions using platform-native, low-code/no-code capabilities.
- Build and enhance forms using Form Builder / Form Designer.
- Build and enhance flows and workflows using Flow Designer.
- Use Table Builder to enhance existing data models and create new tables where appropriate.
- Configure ServiceNow platform features such as forms, fields, UI policies, data relationships, workflows, flows and related configuration items.




- Reuse out-of-the-box ServiceNow platform capabilities wherever practical, avoiding unnecessary customisation.
- Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria and solution behaviour.
- Collaborate with ServiceNow developers or architects where requirements involve scripting, App Engine development, integrations or complex technical patterns.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, testing and other Agile delivery activities as part of an existing delivery team.
- Ensure configured solutions are maintainable, scalable and aligned with ServiceNow platform best practices.
- Clearly explain configuration decisions, impacts and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to delivery quality by documenting configuration decisions, data model changes and implemented solution behaviour.

What You’ll Bring

- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, ideally in a technical consultant, functional consultant, platform consultant or configuration-focused delivery role.
- Robust understanding of ServiceNow platform configuration and low-code/no-code implementation approaches.
- Experience translating business requirements and user stories into practical platform designs.




- Hands-on experience configuring ServiceNow forms, fields, UI policies, flows, workflows and related platform features.
- Experience using Flow Designer to build and maintain business processes and workflow automation.
- Experience using Form Builder / Form Designer to build and enhance user-facing forms.
- Experience using Table Builder to extend existing data models or create new tables where appropriate.
- Good understanding of ServiceNow table structures, data relationships and platform data modelling concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile delivery team and contribute to sprint-based delivery activities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain platform behaviour and technical design choices clearly.
- Pragmatic problem-solving approach, with a focus on delivering customer outcomes using standard platform capabilities wherever possible.
- Ability to identify when a requirement should be escalated to a ServiceNow developer or architect.

Role Scope and Boundaries This role is focused on ServiceNow platform configuration and technical implementation using platform-native capabilities.

The role is not expected to be responsible for:

- App Engine application development
- Integration Hub implementation
- Workflow Data Fabric implementation
- REST/SOAP/API integration delivery
- Complex custom scripting
- Developer-level code reviews or engineering ownership

Where these capabilities are required, the Technical Consultant will collaborate with specialist ServiceNow developers or architects.
