Share Stories, Engines & Adventures
Some people collect memories. Others collect stories, places, and machines that have stood the test of time.
One gentleman at HammondCare Cardiff enjoys talking about classic motorcycles, especially Yamahas and Harley Davidsons, and can happily spend time discussing their history, design, and restoration. He also has a passion for travel and has an impressive knowledge of countries around the world, making every conversation an opportunity to learn something current.
Photography is another long-held interest, and he enjoys reflecting on images, cameras, and the moments they capture. As a veteran, he may particularly connect with someone who has served in the military or has an appreciation for military history and experiences.
A visitor who shares an interest in motorcycles could enjoy spending time browsing classic bike magazines, books, photographs, or even working together on a model motorcycle project over a series of visits.
When: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday afternoons, or Thursdays
Commitment: Approximately one hour, weekly or fortnightly
This is a wonderful opportunity to share conversation, common interests, and meaningful connection with someone who enjoys learning, reminiscing, and talking about the things that have shaped a fascinating life.
