About the role

Shoalhaven Solar Energy Solutions is seeking a skilled Solar & Battery Electrician to join our expanding team on the New South Wales South Coast. This is a full-time position based on the beautiful NSW south coast. This role is critical to our mission of delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions to homes and businesses across the region, and you will play a key part in our continued growth and success in the solar and battery storage sector.

Key responsibilities

- Installing, maintaining and diagnosing faults on solar photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial clients
- Installing and commissioning battery energy storage systems and associated electrical components
- Performing electrical work in accordance with Australian electrical standards, regulations and safety codes
- Conducting site assessments and surveys to determine system requirements and optimal installation approaches
- Testing and certifying completed installations to ensure they meet safety and performance standards
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for customers experiencing system issues
- Maintaining accurate installation records, documentation and compliance certificates
- Adhering to all health and safety protocols, including working at heights and managing site hazards
- Collaborating with team members and project managers to ensure installations are completed on time and to specification
- Staying current with industry developments, new technologies and best practices in solar and battery systems

What we're looking for

- Valid electrical trade qualifications and current Australian licence as a qualified electrician
- Proven experience installing and maintaining solar photovoltaic systems
- Experience working with battery energy storage systems and DC electrical components
- Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000,



AS/NZS 4777 and relevant solar installation guidelines)
- Current First Aid certification and Working at Heights certification
- A clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the service region
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities and a customer-focused approach
- A commitment to health and safety in the workplace
- Willingness to relocate to the Shoalhaven region with support from our relocation package
