Role Description This is a full time, on-site Solutions Architect role based in Melbourne, VIC. The Solutions Architect will design end-to-end technical solutions that align with customer business objectives across data, cloud, security, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
Acting as a senior end to end solution architect to perform architecture design for our application platform in on-premises infrastructure environment. Main accountabilities are:
1. Assist relevant stakeholders to clarify the business and technical requirements
2. Produce end to end architecture design against customer or company requirements.
3. · Lead the infrastructure and integration solution architecture design through the development of design artefacts by considering the requirements of applications and project solutions. You will consult with key stakeholders, architecture standards, and technology/domain roadmaps to ensure that solutions are 'fit for purpose',

· Manage the resolution of design decisions and issues through the solution design and delivery phases to ensure timely identification and resolution,
5. Able to assess new initiatives and to provide impact assessment from technical and commercial aspect.
6. Able to contribute to drive technology strategies for key domain platforms.
7. Drive process optimisation across the board.
8. Ability to learn on the job and pick up new technologies where applicable.
9. Provide technical expertise for new and ongoing initiatives to work with other stakeholders to come up most feasible technical solution.
10. Ability to perform risk assessment with mitigation plan
11. Identify, resolve, and/or escalate all issues that threaten the successful delivery of assigned initiatives.
12. Good time management and ability to successfully juggle multiple projects at the same time

- Extensive technical knowledge in end-to-end architecture solution design
- Infrastructure and compute (windows, Linux, Cisco UCS..)
- Network architecture (cisco routing switching, F5 load balancing, WAN/LAN, HA failover, resiliency, DNS…)
- Storage & Backup (SAN, NAS, object storage, ISCSI, FIbreChannel…)
- Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V, RHOS…)
- Containerisation (docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
- Security (zero trust, AD, MFA, SIEM, endpoint security..)
- Identity and Access management
- Data and Database (SQL and nonSQL, data architecture, data governance..)
- Integration architecture (REST APIs, kafka…)
- Observability and operations (monitoring, logging, Grafana Prometheus, splunk)
- Resilience and disaster recovery
- Automation and DevOps
- Previous experiences in any of below are nice to have
- Public Key Infrastructure
- Ericsson IMS and Packet Core architecture
- Knowledge of 3GPP architecture-based voice and mobile core design
- Qualifications
- Strong Solution Architecture skills, including designing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions.
- Consulting and stakeholder engagement skills to understand business needs and translate them into technical approaches.
- Experience with Software Development practices, frameworks, and life cycle management.
- Expertise in Integration of systems, APIs, and data flows across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Knowledge of Business Process analysis and optimization to align technology solutions with operational workflows.
- Experience in one or more areas: Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), Data/AI, Cyber Security, or digital transformation.
- Ability to create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., cloud architect, TOGAF, security) are an advantage.
