Make a Difference Through Imaging Join the Medical Imaging team at Princess Alexandra Hospital as a Senior Sonographer. Deliver high-quality, patient-centred ultrasound services while contributing to clinical education, leadership, service improvement and innovation within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

About This Role Your new role: As a Senior Sonographer, You Will Provide High-quality, Evidence-based Sonography Services Within a Busy Tertiary Hospital Environment. You'll Use Your Clinical Expertise And Judgement To Manage Complex Workloads, Support Patient-centred Care And Contribute To The Ongoing Development Of Ultrasound Services.

You Will

- Act as a clinical resource, providing advice and support to colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise, educate and support HP3 clinicians, students and support staff.
- Contribute to clinical education, service development, quality improvement and research initiatives.
- Support the development and review of evidence-based practices, protocols and procedures.

About You As an experienced sonographer, you will bring strong clinical knowledge, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering safe, patient-centred care. You'll work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, confidently manage complex clinical situations and support the development of others. You will:

- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients, colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide supervision, education and support to less experienced clinicians and students.
- Identify and contribute to opportunities that improve clinical practice, service delivery and patient outcomes.




- Deliver high-level sonography services and apply sound clinical judgement in complex situations.

About Us The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.



We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
