We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and play a key role in delivering consistently high-quality food and smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen
- Lead and support the kitchen team during busy service
- Prepare, cook and present high-quality café dishes
- Ensure food quality, consistency and presentation meet our standards
- Assist with menu development and daily specials
- Monitor stock levels, ordering and food preparation
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Train and support junior kitchen staff
- Help manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence
- Minimise food waste and maintain efficient kitchen practices

About You
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie or senior chef
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills




- Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
- Calm and professional under pressure
- High attention to detail and food presentation
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented
- Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience is essential

Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certificate
- Current Hygiene and Food Safety training
- Allergen awareness training
- Current First Aid certificate is highly desirable
- Additional hospitality or management qualifications are advantageous

What We Offer $75,000-$80,000 + super, negotiable for the right candidate based on experience and skills.
