Full-time Senior Electrical Engineer

Webb Group are Engineering Consultants with offices throughout Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer or Associate Electrical Engineer with leadership skills/aspirations for our office in Gordon, NSW. The role will focus on leading a diverse range of electrical building services projects as well as mentoring and developing the technical skills of younger engineers. Qualification

- Engineering Degree (Electrical)

- RPEQ and/or NER is essential

- Applicant must have Australian Citizenship

Experience

Minimum 10+ years of experience in the building services consultancy field with the ability to deliver projects successfully in Australia. Experience working on site with electrical contractors during project delivery and commissioning an advantage.

About the role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer and Team Leader, you will be responsible for servicing existing and current clients across the NSW region. You will be responsible for undertaking project work,



supervising and mentoring junior engineers and assisting other electrical engineers where necessary. You will also be responsible for developing new client relationships, preparing tender submissions and delivering project work.

Technical proficiency

Building Services Electrical, including familiarity and specialist knowledge in the following areas:

- Low voltage supply and distribution (sound understanding of AS/NZS 3000, 3008 and 61439, NSW Service Rules).

- Alternative/backup power systems and generation.

- Upgrade, replacement including strategy planning for electrical infrastructure projects in 24/7 occupied commercial / data centre type environments.

- Understanding of Data Centre Tier Ratings and Resilient Power Design.

- Understanding of Interior lighting (to AS/NZS 1680) and emergency lighting (to AS/NZS 2293).

- Understanding of Fire detection and warning systems (to AS/NZS 1670).

General Skills

- Ability to lead a team and mentor junior engineers.

- Delivery of projects including design and project management.

- Ability to develop new project opportunities and foster relationships with new and existing clients.

- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work directly with clients.

- Team player and willing to work collaboratively with other team members and disciplines.

Must have requirements

- Permanent work rights with no restrictions.

- More than 7 years experience as an electrical engineer.

- Qualification in electrical engineering (Bachelor Degree).

- English language skills – professional working proficiency / native or bilingual proficiency.
