The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
Within Ahpra, the Operations Transformation function partners with Health Workforce, Health Regulation, Technology and other business areas to improve regulatory processes, systems and service delivery. Our focus is on creating simpler, more effective ways of working and equipping staff with the tools, processes and support they need to succeed.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Program Facilitator to play a critical role in shaping the future of Ahpra's operational services.
As Program Facilitator, reporting to the National Manager – Operations Transformation, you will play a critical role in coordinating program activities, maintaining governance processes and ensuring stakeholders remain informed, aligned and supported throughout delivery. You will be the central point of coordination across multiple workstreams, helping teams manage priorities, monitor progress and achieve key milestones.

This is a full time, fixed term role up to 30 June 2027
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate program activities and ensure work is tracked and delivered against agreed priorities and timelines.
- Monitor progress across multiple workstreams, identifying risks, issues and dependencies.
- Maintain visibility of program milestones,
actions and deliverables.
- Act as a key coordination point between program teams, business stakeholders and external partners.
- Facilitate timely communication of updates, decisions and outcomes.
- Provide secretariat support for governance forums, including agenda preparation, minute-taking and action tracking.
- Maintain program documentation, registers, records and reporting artefacts.
- Support data collection, reporting and performance monitoring activities.
- Assist in identifying and escalating risks and delivery challenges.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance program delivery and stakeholder experience.

You are an organised and adaptable professional with strong coordination and stakeholder management skills. You enjoy working collaboratively, can manage competing priorities and are comfortable operating in a dynamic and evolving environment.
