About the role

As a Light Vehicle Mechanic with G & M COCHRANE & SONS PTY LIMITED' in Wagga Wagga NSW, you will be responsible for the servicing and repair of a range of light vehicles. This is a full-time role where you will work as part of a close-knit team to provide high-quality mechanical services to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

1. Perform routine maintenance and servicing tasks on light vehicles, including oil changes, brake repairs, registration inspections and repairs, clutches , timing belts, wheel bearings, etc

2. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in light vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment

3. Maintain detailed records of all work completed, parts used, and customer interactions

4. Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with customers to understand their needs

5. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and techniques

6. Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure efficient and effective operations

What we're looking for

1. An Australian trade qualification in light vehicle mechanics or a related field

2.



At least 2 years of experience working as a Light Vehicle Mechanic

3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

4. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

5. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers

6. A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to contribute to the success of the business

7. Being an AIS Examiner would be an advantage
