About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our growing construction team.

Working closely with our Directors, Project Managers and subcontractors, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates and tenders across a range of commercial and industrial construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who is detail-oriented, commercially minded and enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

- Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates, take-offs and tender submissions.

- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.

- Prepare scopes of works and trade packages for pricing.

- Identify project costs, risks, exclusions and potential variations.

- Compare and analyse subcontractor and supplier pricing.

- Develop detailed bills of quantities and cost estimates.

- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients as required.

- Conduct site visits and pre-tender inspections where required.

- Assist with value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

- Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and submitted within required timeframes.

- Maintain pricing databases and supplier/subcontractor relationships.

- Assist the project team with budgets, procurement and cost planning when required.

- Keep up to date with current construction costs, materials, labour rates and market conditions.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and commercially aware, with a strong understanding of the construction industry.

You will ideally have:





- Previous experience as an Estimator within the commercial or industrial construction sector.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and building practices.

- Ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

- Strong numerical and analytical skills.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to accurately manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

- Experience with estimating/tendering software is highly desirable.

- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- A strong understanding of Australian construction practices and standards.

- A current driver's licence.
