Support Worker – Complex Medical Care

The Role: You will provide exact clinical and daily living support to clients with high-complex medical needs, including those navigating progressive conditions. Your primary mission is to build absolute trust, maintain a safe physical and emotional environment, and provide reassuring, reliable care at every stage of their journey.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily Living & Mobility: High-intensity transfers, hoist, showering, personal hygiene, and more.

- Nutritional & Respiratory Support: PEG feeding, dysphagia management, oral/airway suctioning, and non-invasive ventilation management and more.

- Health & Wellbeing: Complex medication administration, skin integrity monitoring, and proactive pressure wound prevention.

- Communication & Safety: Reading subtle cues and non-verbal communication, building trust, and maintaining clear, continuous updates with families and the broader team.

What We’re Looking For

- Advanced English Proficiency:



Exceptional verbal and written English skills to accurately document clinical changes, read delicate non-verbal cues, and communicate seamlessly with families and specialists.

- Clinical Experience: Hands-on experience with hoisting, PEG, dysphagia, suctioning, stoma care, ventilation support, and complex medication management.

- MND Experience (Desirable): Prior experience supporting individuals with Motor Neurone Disease or similar progressive neurological conditions is highly regarded.

- Family-Centred Focus: A gentle, collaborative approach that respects the family's role as primary advocates and expert caregivers.

- Values-Driven Approach: You lead with honesty, take accountability for your work, and bring a curious, proactive mindset to complex clinical challenges.

- Certifications: Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing qualifications (or equivalent clinical experience desirable), plus current CPR/First Aid, NDIS Worker Screening.
