This is a commercially focused tax function within a finance team that supports a complex, multinational operating environment. You’ll work closely with senior finance leaders, operational teams and external advisers on high-visibility tax matters that directly impact the group’s financial performance and risk profile.

Key responsibilities
- Assist with tax-effect accounting for the group, including half-year and annual reporting under AASB/IFRS
- Support the preparation and lodgement of Australian income tax returns and related compliance activities
- Manage non-Australian tax audits and disputes, engaging with local finance teams, external tax advisors and tax authorities
- Support country-specific tax compliance requirements across the group’s international operations
- Assist with the preparation of annual Country-by-Country (CbC) reporting and transfer pricing documentation
- Manage the preparation and review of transfer pricing-related tax documentation prepared by third-party advisors across the group
- Provide guidance on cross-border related party transactions and ensure alignment with the Group Transfer Pricing Procedure
- Assist with Pillar Two (global minimum tax) compliance obligations
- Provide general ad-hoc tax support to the finance team and business stakeholders
About you
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Big 4, Tier 2 firm or in-house tax role within a large multinational organisation
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Law or a related field; CA/CTA (or progressing) highly regarded
- Exposure to tax-effect accounting and financial reporting under AASB/IFRS
- Solid understanding of Australian income tax, with experience supporting tax return preparation and compliance
- Experience with transfer pricing, international tax compliance and cross-border transactions
- Familiarity with Country-by-Country reporting and/or Pillar Two concepts is advantageous
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance teams and external advisors
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines
- Commercial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
What’s on offer
- The opportunity to work in a high-profile, listed resources group with complex, multinational tax issues
- Exposure to strategic tax matters, including transfer pricing, international tax and global minimum tax
- A collaborative, supportive team culture with access to senior leadership
- Competitive remuneration package and benefits
- Career development opportunities in a growing organisation
