Our Suit Wearers are responsible for creating magical interactions with visitors at Sydney Zoo and to provide outstanding customer service within the Admissions and Ticketing areas of the zoo. Sydney Zoo is open every day of the year and this position will require the successful candidate to work some weekends and public holidays. This is a fixed term position through to the end of January 2027.

Key responsibilities

- Create magical interactions with visitors at Sydney Zoo

- Provide outstanding customer service within the Admissions and Ticketing areas

- Perform in a full-body costume for periods of time with rests between

- Convey emotion through movement and non-verbal communication

- Interact with the public and perform in front of large crowds

- Work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays

- Work within a team to deliver outstanding results

About you

- Current and valid Working With Children Check

- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of suits including height and other physical restrictions

- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform in a full-body costume for periods of time with rests between





- Excellent non-verbal communication skills and the ability to convey emotion through movement

- Comfort performing in front of large crowds and interacting with the public

- A team-player mindset with professionalism and reliability

- Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays

- Outgoing, confident and friendly personality

- Demonstrated enthusiasm and initiative to deliver exceptional customer service

- Legal working rights in Australia
