Senior Business Analyst - Investment Technology

The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with Investment Teams, Investment Technology, Data, Architecture, and Delivery stakeholders to drive platform-focused transformation initiatives across the investment management ecosystem. This role will act as the key interface between business and technology, ensuring investment requirements are translated into scalable and effective technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with Investment stakeholders to understand, analyse, and document business requirements across investment management processes, systems, and data domains.
- Leverage strong knowledge of investment management functions including portfolio monitoring, risk analytics, performance measurement, returns calculations, and investment data management.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements to elicit, validate, and prioritise business and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, process maps, and solution documentation.
- Work closely with Technology, Data, Architecture, and Vendor teams to assess impacts, define solutions, and support delivery outcomes.
- Develop a deep understanding of investment platforms, including configuration, data flows, integrations, and dependencies across the investment technology landscape.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements from discovery through to implementation, testing, and business adoption.
- Support business readiness activities including UAT planning, test case development, defect triage, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance relating to investment processes, platform capabilities,



and data flows across transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices, governance, and delivery frameworks.

Skills & Experience Required

- Minimum 7+ years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst within investment management, wealth management, asset management, or financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of investment management concepts, processes, and data structures including portfolio management, risk, performance, benchmarks, and returns calculations.
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology and platform transformation initiatives within investment organisations.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, facilitating workshops, process mapping, impact assessments, and stakeholder management across complex environments.
- Strong understanding of investment platforms such as FactSet and/or Aladdin is essential. Experience with similar investment management platforms will also be considered.
- Exposure to up-to-date data platforms and cloud technologies highly desirable, including ETL processes, APIs, data integration technologies, SQL, AWS, and Databricks.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and utilising Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across business and technology teams.
