The Role

The Team Leader is responsible for delivering high-quality hospitality services within the BHP corporate building, including maintaining floor kitchenettes and ensuring the successful delivery and execution of high-volume corporate catering.

Key Responsibilities

- Liaise with the Supervisor on day-to-day operational issues.
- Assist management with coordinating daily tasks among operational teams.
- Ensure floor kitchenettes, service areas, and back-of-house areas are consistently maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of automated coffee machines.
- Prepare and deliver catering orders accurately and within required timeframes.
- Assist with basic food preparation for catering, including reheating food,



cutting sandwiches, preparing salads, and plating platters.
- Liaise with clients to ensure all catering requirements have been met.
- Assist with managing the online catering platform, including entering orders as required and processing payments.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of food safety principles to ensure food is served in accordance with best-practice guidelines.
- Deliver skilled, welcoming, and responsive customer service.

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need

- Excellent knowledge of food safety practices.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple catering orders within tight timeframes.
- The ability to lead and direct a small team on a shift-by-shift basis.
