Our client is seeking an experienced aged care clinical leader to take ownership of a newly elevated national role focused on assessment excellence, clinical capability, AN-ACC optimisation, and resident outcomes across our growing residential aged care portfolio. Drawing on the responsibilities
The Role
The role partners closely with operational and clinical leaders to ensure resident assessments, care planning, and documentation accurately reflect changing care needs while strengthening capability across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to move beyond a single-site leadership role and influence care quality at a national level with signigifant growth plans ahead.
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Operations, you will lead the Clinical Assessment Team, support home-based clinical leaders, and play a critical role in ensuring contemporary AN-ACC practices, clinical accuracy, compliance, and sustainable funding outcomes.

The Opportunity
As Head of Clinical Assessment & Funding, you will lead a specialist team responsible for ensuring resident assessments, care plans, and supporting documentation accurately reflect individual care needs.
Working across multiple residential communities, you will identify trends, develop capability,
and support clinical teams to maintain high standards of assessment accuracy and documentation integrity.
You will be a trusted advisor to operational and clinical leaders, providing expert guidance on:
- Resident assessment methodologies
- Care planning standards
- Clinical documentation practices
- AN-ACC classifications and reassessments
- Clinical education and capability development
- Funding optimisation opportunities
- Quality improvement initiatives
Most importantly, your work will ensure residents receive care that is responsive, personalised, and reflective of their evolving clinical needs.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Lead Clinical Excellence Nationwide
Champion best-practice assessment, care planning, and clinical leadership across Aeralife's residential aged care communities.
Drive AN-ACC and Funding Performance
Leverage your expertise to optimise funding outcomes while ensuring residents receive care that accurately reflects their changing needs.
Develop High-Performing Clinical Teams
Coach, mentor and educate clinical leaders and assessment professionals to build capability and strengthen care outcomes.
Shape Quality, Compliance and Strategic Improvement
Provide insight, leadership and direction to continuously improve clinical performance, governance and organisational outcomes.kkk
About You
You are an experienced aged care clinician who thrives on influencing others, improving systems, and developing people.
You enjoy working strategically while remaining connected to resident outcomes and frontline clinical practice.
You combine strong clinical expertise with the ability to coach, educate, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
To Succeed You Will Bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
OR
- Significant experience within clinical assessment, care systems, funding, and reporting environments
You will also possess:
- Extensive aged care experience
- Strong knowledge of AN-ACC frameworks and assessment processes
- Expertise in care planning and clinical documentation
- Proven leadership and team development capability
- Experience delivering education and coaching programs
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
