Temporary Site Controller – Willoughby Leisure Centre

Pay Rate: $63 – $84 per hour + Super (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 35 hours per week
Contract: Immediate start until approximately 8 November 2026

Complete Staff Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Temporary Site Controller to support the final operational readiness and handover stage of the Willoughby Leisure Centre.

With the Leisure Centre nearing completion, this role will be responsible for ensuring the site remains protected, secure and controlled while Council project teams, contractors, suppliers and the Centre's operational team continue to access the facility.

This is a hands-on, site-based coordination role suited to someone who can start immediately, hit the ground running and confidently take ownership of the day-to-day control of the site.

About the Role

As the central point of contact onsite, you will oversee site access, contractor movements, inductions, deliveries, WHS requirements and daily opening and closing procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing day-to-day access to the Leisure Centre

- Coordinating contractors, suppliers, Council staff and authorised visitors onsite

- Conducting and coordinating site inductions

- Monitoring restricted areas and maintaining site security

- Undertaking regular site walk-throughs and identifying potential hazards

- Supporting day-to-day WHS and site safety requirements

- Coordinating contractor movements and access to work areas

- Managing deliveries and general site logistics

- Acting as the nominated Chief Warden during agreed periods

- Assisting with emergency response and evacuation procedures if required

- Completing daily opening and end-of-day site inspections

- Ensuring the facility is secure at the end of each day

- Maintaining site records including contractor attendance, inductions, deliveries,



hazards and incidents

- Liaising closely with Council project teams, contractors and Leisure Centre management

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience in site supervision, facilities management, construction/project environments, venue operations or similar site-based coordination roles.

Previous experience within a leisure centre, aquatic facility, community facility or public venue would be highly regarded but is not essential.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience coordinating contractors and site activities

- A good practical understanding of WHS and site safety

- Confidence managing site access and addressing unsafe or unauthorised activity

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- The ability to work independently and make practical day-to-day decisions

- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills

- The ability to remain calm and provide clear direction when required

- Construction White Card

- Current First Aid and CPR certification

- WHS qualifications or additional safety training will be highly regarded but are not essential

- Flexible working hours, generally between 8:30am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:00pm

- No weekend work

- Temporary assignment through to approximately 8 November 2026
