ROLE DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Teacher of Year 7
Tenure: Full-time - Ongoing
Commencement Date: 1 January 2027
Application closing date: Monday 1 4 September 2026 – 3.00 p.m.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Year 7 Teacher to join our Year 7 team commencing in January 2027. The successful applicant will primarily teach Year 7 students and play a key role in fostering their spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth through engaging, contemporary, and meaningful learning experiences.
We welcome applications from upper primary teachers, middle years teachers, and suitably qualified secondary school teachers who are passionate about supporting students as they transition into secondary education We are looking for someone who will create an environment where students want to be and want to learn, making education collaborative, fun-filled and a place where students feel listened to and loved. Responsibilities include:
• Teach a range of core subjects to Year 7 students, ensuring lessons are engaging, meaningful and aligned with curriculum requirements. Where staff have expertise in a major core learning area, we will strive to utilise their skills and experience in that area wherever possible
• Design and implement differentiated learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, fostering confidence, independence and a love of learning.
• Create a classroom environment where students feel valued, listened to and inspired, making education collaborative, fun-filled and inclusive.
• Take responsibility for the behaviour management of your class, promoting positive conduct and a respectful learning culture
. • Build strong,
positive connections with parents to support student learning and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the Head of Year 7 to promote holistic development and maintain a positive, respectful learning environment.
• Participate in co-curricular programmes and actively engage in the life of the College community.
