About the Role:
One of our valued clients is seeking experienced Mobile Plant Mechanics to join their team in a workshop-based position in the southern suburbs of Perth.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced tradespeople looking for ongoing local work, a great team environment and the potential to transition into permanent employment.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a range of mobile plant and heavy equipment, including Caterpillar and Komatsu machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service and repair mobile plant and equipment
- Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Conduct on-hire and off-hire inspections
- Interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Create parts lists using technical manuals
- Identify hazards, complete risk assessments and implement appropriate safety controls
- Maintain compliance with HSE policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Keep workshop and work areas clean, safe and well organised

To Be Successful You Will Have:
- Australian recognised Heavy Diesel / Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate
- Previous experience servicing and repairing mobile plant equipment
- Experience working with Caterpillar and/or Komatsu equipment
- Experience using CAT ET and SIS systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Current WA Driver’s Licence
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and laboratory Drug & Alcohol screen
- Currently based in Perth with unrestricted working rights
