The Roles: Trainer/Assessors – General and Civil Construction and Engineering (Metal Fabrication)
Due to significant growth and Government contracts, we are looking to increase our Trainer/Assessor cohort across General and Civil Construction and Engineering (Metal Fabrication) to join our team in Malaga, WA. If you're an experienced tradesperson ready to transition from tools to training or a secondary school teacher with general construction, civil construction and/or metal fabrication expertise, this full-time role is perfect for you.
Working with jobseekers and apprentices, you'll be responsible for training and assessing Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia, focusing on both theory and practical components in live work projects.
What We're Looking For:
- Ideal candidates will be able to deliver training programs involving the project management and supervision of participants working on small paving and concreting works, delivered as part of live works training, and be able to service apprentices undertaken training in metal fabrication and associated disciplines.
- Experience working with trainees and apprentices in various settings.
- Experience working within regional and remote Indigenous communities would also be highly regarded.
- Experience undertaking delivery of Verification of Competencies (VOCs) on various items of civil plant and machinery.
- Ability to deliver engaging and effective training.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a great sense of humour.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Integrity and dedication to excellence in training.
- National Police Clearance (current or willing to obtain).
- Working with Children Check (current or willing to obtain).
- Current driver's license.
Essential Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116) or working towards it.
- Certificate III level in General or Civil Construction (or relevant experience).
- Certificate III level in Engineering Metal Fabrication (or relevant experience).
