We are seeking an experienced BIM Lead with a mechanical specialisation to manage and coordinate Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for mechanical services across a variety of building projects. This also includes BIM modeling efforts, ensuring design integrity, technical accuracy, and adherence to project timelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical BIM coordination process from concept through construction documentation.
- Develop, maintain and manage detailed HVAC/mechanical BIM models using Revit and related modelling platforms.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Produce accurate, coordinated mechanical drawings, layouts, schematics and construction documentation in accordance with project requirements.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, subcontractors and site teams to resolve design and coordination issues.
- Prepare detailed shop/workshop drawings and coordinate design information with engineers, contractors and project teams.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, builder, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and clash-free models.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and quality control of mechanical BIM models and associated documentation.
- Develop and implement BIM execution plans, model progression strategies, and project-specific standards.
- Conduct regular clash detection and coordination meetings using tools such as Navisworks, Autodesk Forma.
- Train, mentor, and support junior BIM technicians and modelers, where required.
- Work with project teams to ensure deliverables meet client and industry standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in BIM with a focus on mechanical systems (HVAC, elec, plumbing, fire protection).
- Minimum 3 years of local experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP, ACC, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical design standards and construction practices.
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and project leadership.
- Familiarity with local BIM standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
- Experience with BIM 360, ACC, Dynamo, or other automation tools is add on.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and energy modeling tools.
- Experience with mechanical contractors, producing shop drawings.
