We are currently recruiting for an experienced Digital Technician to join a leading manufacturing business in Benalla.
This hands-on role plays a key part in supporting and improving the digital technologies that drive manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and commercial operations. Working closely with teams across the business, you will help deliver digital solutions that improve efficiency, provide accurate operational data and support continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an office-based position, starting on a casual basis, with the possibility to transition to permanent employment after a qualifying period. The role offers a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
About the Role
As a Digital Technician, you will work closely with production, engineering, quality, maintenance and IT teams to support, develop and improve digital systems across the site.
You will be involved in everything from troubleshooting and user support through to automation, IoT technologies and emerging AI applications within a modern manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of digital systems, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and project tracking tools.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency through digital technologies.
- Improve data quality,
reporting and business processes through digitisation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements, data management standards and company IT policies.
- Work closely with IT and site stakeholders to implement and maintain digital solutions.
- Support initiatives focused on improving production quality, performance and throughput.
- Explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI tools, to enhance manufacturing and order execution processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A Bachelor Degree, Diploma, Certificate IV or Trade Qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related field is desired but not essential.
- Previous experience in a similar digital, IT, automation or technical support role.
- Experience working with digital technologies within a manufacturing, industrial or technical workplace.
- Strong computer and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
