The Company

Our client is a family owned and run Australian manufacturer. They design, build and finish custom manufactured solutions in-house at their Queensland production facility, supplying mining and civil contractors, utilities, councils and government. The business has grown from a standing start to eight figures in around two years, and it has done that without losing the family-run feel. Small team, no layers, decisions made quickly. Their new Heathwood site is their first customer-facing hub in Brisbane.

The Role

You are the first point of contact at Heathwood. Reception, walk-in customers, incoming calls and the shared inboxes all run through you. The bigger part of the job is commercial. You'll prepare quotes and sales proposals, respond to online catalogue enquiries, keep customer and chance data current in the CRM, and work the pipeline so nothing sits without a follow-up. Some of what walks in or rings through, you'll convert yourself. The rest you'll route to the sales team and keep moving.

The site is still being built out. Showroom, spare parts, customer pick-ups and drop-offs are all part of the plan. You'll have a genuine say in how it runs day to day, and you'll be trusted to run it once you know the ropes.

Package

- Full time, office based in Heathwood





- Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm

- Training and ongoing support on products, systems and processes

Who We're Looking For

We're open to candidates from a few different backgrounds:

- Sales administration, internal sales or customer service where you've prepared quotes and proposals and kept a CRM honest

- Reception or office administration from a trade, transport, engineering or equipment hire business, where you've dealt with customers directly rather than just fielding calls

- Retail or showroom sales with strong administration behind it, if you're comfortable moving into a business-to-business environment

Accuracy matters here. Quotes go out to contractors and government buyers, so detail and presentation count. You do not need to know the product on day one. You do need to be curious enough to learn it properly.

The key is being comfortable at the front counter and on the phone while still owning the paperwork behind it. Whether you've come from an office, a showroom or a service desk.
