About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team. You'll play a key role in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly, supporting our chefs so they can focus on producing outstanding food.

Key Responsibilities
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout service
Assist chefs with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping, portioning)
Receive and store deliveries correctly, rotating stock (FIFO)
Empty bins and manage kitchen waste appropriately
Set up and pack down kitchen stations before/after service
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Report low stock or equipment issues to the kitchen manager
Support the team during busy service periods

Skills & Experience
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience preferred but not essential




Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a rapid-paced environment
Positive physical stamina — role involves standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
Strong understanding of (or willingness to learn) food hygiene and safety practices
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Requirements
Food Safety/Hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Availability for shift work
