Python/Django Developer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Just Digital People are looking for an experienced Python/Django Developer to join an established Australian not-for-profit organisation on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is an opportunity to work on software that has a genuine social impact, helping build and maintain digital products and services used across the community sector. You'll be joining a collaborative technology team where you'll have the opportunity to work across meaningful projects while contributing to a modern, open-source focused workplace.
The role would suit a developer who enjoys hands-on development, solving problems and working collaboratively with other developers and stakeholders.

What you will ideally bring:
Robust commercial experience with Python and Django
Solid experience building and maintaining web applications
Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
Experience working with REST APIs and web services




Experience with Git and up-to-date development practices
Exposure to Docker and Linux environments
Experience working within an Agile development environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A genuine interest in using technology to create positive social impact
