About the Role As an Aged Care Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals while ensuring the dietary, nutritional and individual needs of residents are met.
You will work as part of a supportive kitchen team and be expected to maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.
To Be Successful, You Must Have:
Previous experience working as a Cook in an aged care setting – essential
Relevant cooking qualifications/certificates
Current Food Safety / Food Handling certification
Current First Aid certificate
Understanding of texture-modified diets and special dietary requirements
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and infection-control procedures
Ability to follow menus, recipes and dietary requirements
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A caring and respectful approach when working around elderly residents
Solid reliability and the ability to work independently
Current police check and other relevant compliance documents as required
