BC People is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Melbourne's western suburbs.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Finance Officer to take ownership of the finance and payroll function. Experience within construction, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or trade-based industries is highly regarded, along with a robust understanding of Up-to-date Awards, payroll compliance, employee entitlements, overtime, allowances, and penalty rates.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Payroll processing and payroll compliance
Interpretation and application of Modern Awards
Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Debtor management and cashflow monitoring
BAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and WorkCover reporting
Monthly financial reporting
Liaising with external accountants
Maintaining employee and compliance records
Improving finance and administrative processes

About You
3+ years' experience in a Bookkeeper,



Finance Officer, or similar role
Strong payroll, AP, AR and reconciliation experience
Experience with BAS and statutory reporting
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
MYOB experience highly regarded
