Volunteer Sighted Guides Needed
Do you have a day to spare? We're looking for warm, reliable volunteers to Sight Guide our members who are blind or have low vision, to move around safely and confidently.
What you'll do:
• Guide members on outings such as walks, visits to galleries and gardens, craft or information sessions
• Be a friendly, patient companion along the way
No experience needed — full training in sighted guide techniques is provided. We just ask for:
• A few hours a month (flexible scheduling)
• Patience, positive communication, and reliability
A little thank-you:
For most outings, you will join our members and other volunteers for a meal together (at no cost to you) - positive food, good conversation,
and a excellent way to get to know each other.
Why volunteer?
• Make a real, tangible difference in someone's independence and daily life
• Meet new people and be part of a supportive community
• Free training and ongoing support from our team
Interested? Get in touch — we'd love to have you on board.
