This role offers the opportunity to work closely with local and overseas stakeholders while supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning activities within a dynamic international business workplace.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, you will play a key role in providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic business decisions.
Preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Analysing financial results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Preparing management reports and presentations for senior stakeholders
Supporting month-end activities, including accruals, journals, reconciliations, and reporting
Developing and maintaining financial models
Preparing inventory and performance analysis reports
Supporting financial planning and reporting requirements for overseas stakeholders




Identifying prospects to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting efficiency
Supporting audit, compliance, and financial control activities

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Fluent Japanese and English language skills, both written and spoken
Experience working with Japanese companies or familiarity with Japanese business practices
Experience in management accounting, financial analysis, FP&A;, budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful business insights
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
CA or CPA qualification (or working towards certification) will be highly regarded
