Taiwan Yes Restaurant is a Taiwanese restaurant that offers authentic Taiwanese cuisine. We are looking for a cook who is passionate about food to join our team. You will be working in a friendly team environment on a full-time contract of 40 hours per week. The work schedule is set according to a fixed weekly timetable.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients, including Chinese/Taiwanese and local specialty dishes
Design and create dishes according to menu requirements
Prepare cooking ingredients by chopping, slicing, peeling, grinding, etc
Ensure food portions and presentation meet the restaurant standards
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring all kitchenware and equipment are clean and well-maintained
Manage inventory of ingredients, ensuring their freshness and quality
Ensure all food preparation processes comply with hygiene standards and safety regulations
About you
Diploma or certificate from a culinary school or related field
At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
Proficient in various cooking techniques and the use of cooking equipment
Positive time management and organizational skills, able to work under pressure
Innovative ability to develop recent dishes and improve existing menus
Robust teamwork and communication skills
Honest, proactive, and passionate about work
Willing to stay long-term (at least 1 year)
Having your own transportation is preferred
