About the role The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient day-to-day operation of our busy tyre and mechanical workshop. This hands-on leadership role ensures work is completed safely, professionally, on time and to a consistently high standard. The Workshop Manager will coordinate the workshop team, manage workflow, support customers and work closely with the Store Manager to achieve excellent customer service, productivity and business results.

Key responsibilities
Plan the daily workshop schedule, allocate jobs and monitor progress to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
Ensure technicians have the correct parts, tyres, tools and information, while managing urgent work, delays and changing priorities.
Maintain a clean, organised and skilled workshop and assist with practical workshop duties when required.
Lead, support and motivate technicians, tyre fitters and apprentices by providing clear instructions and daily priorities.
Supervise performance and workmanship while training and mentoring less-experienced employees.
Provide friendly, honest and skilled service, clearly explaining vehicle concerns and recommended repairs.




Ensure all work meets Bridgestone Select Busselton's quality standards and conduct final inspections where required.
Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure employees follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Ensure job cards correctly record labour, parts, tyres, inspections, customer approvals and completed work.
Assist with ordering and monitoring stock, checking deliveries, processing returns and managing warranty claims.

About you
Previous automotive workshop leadership experience and strong mechanical industry knowledge.
A relevant automotive trade qualification is required, together with a current Australian driver's licence.
Solid leadership, communication, customer service, organisational and computer skills.
Reliable, punctual, organised and accountable, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Calm and practical under pressure, with the confidence to make decisions and manage changing priorities.
Approachable, respectful and willing to lead by example and assist the team when required.
