Hays Accountancy & Finance is working with a respected commercial organisation based in Adelaide's CBD to recruit a Senior Accounts Receivable Officer for a key project-focused assignment. This 6-month contract offers the opportunity to contribute beyond traditional collections and receivables duties, with a strong focus on process improvement, stakeholder engagement and operational efficiency.
Your new role
This position will play a critical role in reviewing, strengthening and modernising the accounts receivable function while ensuring daily operations continue to run efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include
Managing complex debtor accounts and collections activities
Reviewing current AR processes and identifying improvement opportunities
Implementing best-practice receivables procedures and controls
Analysing billing, collections and cash allocation workflows
Supporting system enhancements and process optimisation projects
Developing reporting and KPI frameworks
Partnering with finance and operational stakeholders across the business
Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members where required
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive accounts receivable experience within a medium to large organisation
Proven track record delivering process improvements and operational efficiencies
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to influence change and drive continuous improvement initiatives
