We are working with a large organisation looking to add an experienced Senior iOS Engineer to its Melbourne technology team.
This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on the technical foundations behind a large-scale iOS environment. Alongside native development, you will work across build processes, deployment, application performance and engineering tooling.
The role would suit someone who has worked on complex iOS products and enjoys solving broader engineering problems rather than focusing exclusively on feature development.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain native iOS solutions using Swift
Improve the performance and stability of existing mobile applications
Work on automated build, testing and deployment processes
Identify and resolve issues within development and release workflows
Improve tooling used by mobile engineering teams
Support reliable and productive application releases
Investigate technical and performance issues across the iOS setting
Contribute to improvements in automated testing and software quality
Work closely with other senior engineers across mobile and cloud environments
Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers
Experience Required
Strong commercial iOS engineering experience
Advanced experience with Swift
Good understanding of iOS application architecture
Strong CI/CD experience
Experience with automated build and deployment processes
Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, Buildkite, Fastlane or similar
Experience with application release processes
Understanding of application monitoring and performance
Exposure to AWS, Azure or similar cloud environments
Robust debugging and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
Previous experience improving mobile engineering tooling or development processes
Experience working with large iOS codebases
Application performance optimisation experience
Experience with mobile monitoring or diagnostic tools
Experience improving build times or CI/CD performance
