Skills & Experience Required
Cisco networking — proven hands-on operation of switching (core/edge/WAN) and wireless (HO/WAN); fault diagnosis and resolution.
Network monitoring — ManageEngine (or equivalent) alerting, fault investigation and configuration.
Windows Server — administration and migration, including Server 2016 → 2022; DFS namespace and replication migration.
Microsoft identity & productivity — Active Directory, group policy, DNS/DHCP, MFA/NPS, Microsoft 365 conditional access.
Endpoint management — SCCM/Intune, patching.
Service management — ITIL-aligned incident, problem and change management using an ITSM tool.
Vendor/MSP management — demonstrated experience coordinating and holding a managed service provider to account operationally.
Documentation — explicit runbooks, configuration records and operational procedures.
Certification
CCNA or CCNP (operational level — CCIE/CCDE not required). (Mandatory)
Desirable: Microsoft certification relevant to the role, such as:
Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800/AZ-801) — covers Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, DFS and Server 2016→2022 migration.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) — covers Intune/SCCM endpoint management and patching.
Or equivalent Microsoft identity/infrastructure certification.
