Job Description

This is a unique prospect to work on critical maritime projects, contributing to the maintenance and sustainment of both commercial and Royal Australian Navy vessels. The role involves a diverse range of fabrication, welding, and repair tasks in a agile and challenging environment.

Your role will involve the following, but not limited to;

n

Welding and Boiler fabrication
n
Read and interpret shop drawings
n
GMAW, GTAW and SMAW welding process
n
Weld all types of metal, ferrous and nonferrous
n
Working in confined spaces and on elevated work platform equipment
n

n

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

n

You will be required to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.
n Due to security clearance requirements, you must be an Australian Citizen. We are unable to accept applications from Permanant Residents or any Visa holders.

Trade certificate in Fabrication / Engineering
n
Working at Heights ticket

Induction for Construction Work / White Card

Enter and Work Confined Spaces ticket

Desirable Experience and licensesGreat to have (however not essential)

Previous experience working on maritime vessels
n
MIG & TIG welding experience
n
Heavy Engineering experience
n
Existing Baseline or NV1 security clearance
n
