About the role

Payo is a fast-growing fintech providing EFTPOS and payment solutions to Australian businesses. We are looking for a motivated Business Development Specialist to join our SYD team and help expand our merchant network.

What you'll be doing
Generate new business through prospecting, cold outreach, referrals, and networking
Convert qualified leads into signed merchants and long-term clients
Conduct product presentations and demos of Payo’s EFTPOS and payment solutions
Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and key decision-makers
Manage your pipeline, follow-ups, and reporting via CRM
Work closely with the marketing team on campaigns and lead generation
Prepare proposals, contracts, and sales documentation
Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs

What we're looking for
1–2 years’ experience in business development / sales
Experience in payments, banking, merchant services, fintech, or related industries is highly regarded
Robust communication, negotiation,



and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to close deals and hit targets
Comfortable with cold calling and face-to-face sales
CRM experience (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)
Mandarin speaking is preferred but not essential
Business/Marketing qualification is preferred but not required
