Paterson Bulk Transport / Cooke Plains Gypsum is a family-run business based in Cooke Plains, South Australia. We specialise in the Bulk Transport of Gypsum from our local open-cut mine, servicing customers both locally and interstate, along with Grain and Fertiliser Cartage. We are a hardworking, close-knit team and take pride in providing reliable service to our customers.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and organised person to join our team in a Customer Support, Administration and Accounts role. This is a varied position where different roles may be required on subsequent days. With the ever-changing nature of the Mining and Transport Industries, you’ll have the opportunity to take on new challenges, develop your skills and learn something different on a regular basis.
The position is available on either a part time or full-time basis, depending on the successful applicant.
Immediate start available
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience and skills
Key Responsibilities
Answering and making phone calls
Sending and receiving emails
Communicating with customers and assisting with enquiries
Sending and receiving invoices
General office administration
Weighbridge operation
Maintaining accreditation programs and records
General accounts and data entry duties
Supporting the day-to-day operations of the business
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Organised, motivated and professional
Confident using computers and office systems
Willing to learn and take on new tasks
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Friendly and confident when communicating with customers
Reliable and able to manage changing priorities
The following experience is highly regarded, but not essential:
Previous administration experience
Experience with Xero or other accounting software
Weighbridge experience
Experience maintaining accreditation or compliance records
