Key Responsibilities:

Develop financial strategies to optimize profitability and efficiency

Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and internal controls
n
Prepare management reports and conduct variance analysis for decision-making
n
Payroll & Compliance
n
Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and legislative compliance
n
Implement payroll controls to mitigate risks and analyze payroll costs
n
Manage GST returns and tax compliance for Australian and Recent Zealand operations
n
Management Accounting & Process Improvement
n
Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and complex journal entries
n
Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support business initiatives
n
Drive process improvements and enhance financial systems (NetSuite/Xero)
n
Leadership & Strategic Support
n
Mentor junior finance staff and support leadership with financial insights
n
Advise on lease negotiations and store opening/closing financial impacts
n
What You'll Bring:
n
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance in Australia
n 2+ years of experience in financial accounting and payroll processing preferably in retail business
n ERP knowledge desirable
n Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, Xero, or similar)
n Robust payroll knowledge, experience with Tanda, Xero is a plus
