The Victorian Government is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Policy Advisor to join our team on a full-time basis, located in the vibrant Melbourne CBD.

About the Department
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration.
The department plays an key system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Early Childhood Strategy Division is a small and influential strategic policy unit dedicated to shaping the future of early childhood education and care across the state.
In the role of Senior Policy Advisor, you will be expected to
Lead the development and implementation of complex strategic policies and initiatives.
Provide high-level, evidence-based advice to senior leadership and key stakeholders.




Collaborate across sectors and build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
Draft high-quality briefs, reports, correspondence, and policy papers.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the division's policy framework and strategic planning.
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative approach to policy development, and a demonstrated ability to navigate complex government or large organizational environments.
A background in public policy, education, or a related field is highly advantageous.
