About the role
DCC is now recruiting for a Trainee Patent Attorney, PatentAttorney or Associate with experience in the field of chemistry tojoin our Sydney office.
Your day-to-day work will involve all aspects of private patentattorney practice,



including liaising with inventors and clients;drafting and prosecuting patent applications; conducting searches;providing patentability, infringement and validity opinions, andproviding strategic portfolio advice.
About You
A PhD in a chemistry-related discipline is required.
Preferred field of expertise – organic chemistry, medicinalchemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry or chemicalbiology.
An excellent communicator with a strong command of writtenand verbal English.
Demonstrated commitment to and interest in local businessdevelopment.
Able to understand and critically analyse information andthink laterally.
Well organised and self-motivated.
Committed to providing clients with quality advice andservice.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
