Key responsibilities
Assist participants with personal care and daily living tasks
Support participants to attend appointments and access the community
Encourage skill development, independence, and community participation
Implement individualised support and care plans
Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours (where applicable)
Maintain accurate shift notes, progress notes, and incident documentation
Follow NDIS Practice Standards, ADC policies, and procedures
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and Behaviour Support Practitioners
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping
Support participants in SIL and supported accommodation environments, including overnight and active night shifts
About you
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (preferred)
Experience working with people with disability, particularly psychosocial disability or complex needs (desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
Flexible, resilient, and adaptable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience assisting clients with medication
