This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and faith-filled leader to shape and nurture the spiritual life of a highly regarded Anglican school community, supporting students, staff and families from Early Learning through to Year 12.
The Community
Camberwell Girls Grammar School (CGGS) is a community dedicated to learning, service and action.
With an extremely proud 105-year history as an Anglican School it is located in the leafy suburb of Canterbury in Melbourne's east.
CGGS students range from 3 years old in Early Learning through to young adults in Year 12.
CGGS has a rich and proud culture, defined by collaboration, respect, adaptability, creativity, energy and innovation, and is dedicated to building staff abilities to contribute to their own growth, practice and system reform.
The Role
The Chaplain is integral to the development and deepening of the School's Anglican ethos and spiritual life.
Key purposes:
Witness the depth, breadth and joy of God's love for all people within the School community
Lead and enrich the worship life of the School
Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students, staff and families




Support the Principal and School Management Team in ensuring spiritual care remains central to the School's mission
Key Areas of Responsibility
Lead worship services and special occasions
Provide pastoral care to students, staff and families
Mentor student faith leaders
Maintain relationships with Anglican church partners
Teaching and Learning
Contribute to Religious Education curriculum development and implementation
Apply contemporary and differentiated teaching practices
Participate in professional learning and continuous improvement initiatives
Technical Knowledge & Job Specific Skills
Ordained within the Anglican Church or commenced path to ordination
Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications
Current VIT registration
Experience teaching Religious Education in a school setting
Personal Attributes
Passion for service, compassion and empathy
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management
Commitment to Christian values and professional learning

Terms and Appointment: The appointment will commence in Term 1, ****.

A two-page statement addressing the key duties and responsibilities outlined in the Candidate Information Pack




A Curriculum Vitae, including contact details of three professional referees to whom you have reported
