Role information: GP VMO with Emergency Skills.
Covers ED and Ward.
Must have completed eMeds training.
Experience: Emergency, Trauma, Adult Paediatric Support, sound clinical judgement and communicate appropriately.
On-call requirements: You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7.
You as the Locum Doctor will be called in for all triage categories (1s to 5s) in-person between **** hrs and **** hrs.
Overnight from **** hrs until **** hrs the locum doctor will be required to review all Category 1, 2 and 3 ED Presentations in-person.
Overnight from **** hrs until **** hrs you will be responsible for Category 4 and 5 ED Presentations, an in-person review will be at your discretion.
However you will be required to attend if a clinician or the Registered Nurse calls you requesting your presence.
On-call will also require you at all times to attend inpatients that are deteriorating.
vCare are available in emergency situations *************) Hours required to be on-site: 8am ward rounds, followed by ED reviews etc - finish time to be negotiated with site.
Must return to the ED when requested by nursing staff at any time.
Type of Doctor required: GP with Emergency Department Experience.
Medicare Provider number requirements:
Full billings or refer and request billing rights acceptable.
Information on site: Cobar is a small rural health service with a built capacity of 10 acute/subacute beds.
Services provided include: 24 hour emergency care Acute and subacute inpatient services including rehabilitation, respite and palliative care Outpatient services A range of primary and community health care services Renal Dialysis Community Health – wound management, medication delivery, hospital in the home, chronic disease case management and palliative care Child and family health – immunisation, child health checks, referral resource -Specialist medical and Allied Health visit as part of an outreach service from Dubbo and Orange.
In office accommodation - self-contained.
Travel organised through agency.
Credentials: NSW Hospital paperwork (LHD specific); NSW Health online training modules; immunisations/vaccinations; Primary Degree; Fellowship CPD Certificate (if applicable); References; CRC; NSW WWCC; Indemnity; Medicare provider number; ID check; NSW declarations (e.g. Hep B; TB; Secondary Employment; Code of Conduct); Current AHPRA Registration
