About Lyka: Lyka was founded in **** by Anna Podolsky , inspired by her dog, Lyka , who was suffering from chronic health issues despite being on "premium" kibble.
Together with Gabriel Guedes (COO) and Dr. Matthew Muir (Integrative Veterinarian), they built Lyka from the ground up with one core belief: better food can radically improve a pet's healthspan and quality of life .
Lyka's meals are vet-formulated and gently cooked from real food ingredients .
Delivered via a flexible subscription model, Lyka meals have driven remarkable improvements for tens of thousands of customers, supporting gut health, reducing intolerances, improving energy and mobility, and even promoting hair growth.
What began as home-cooked meals has since scaled into one of Australia's fastest-growing consumer companies , a vertically integrated, tech-enabled brand that is transforming pet health nationwide.
Lyka now operates from two offices, Sydney (HQ) and Melbourne , with three state-of-the-art food production facilities (two in Sydney, one in Melbourne) and a growing national footprint.
At Lyka, we're not just selling pet food, we're pioneering a new standard of wellness for pets.
With strong product-market fit, deep customer love, and a track record of rapid growth, we're now entering our most ambitious chapter yet: building a generational brand and category-defining business with global impact.
About the role: We're looking for a People Ops all-rounder to join the Pack, someone who finds genuine satisfaction in a clean spreadsheet, brings order to chaos, and wants to be the person managers and the Pack turn to when they need a straight answer, fast.
This is a broad, hands-on role sitting right at the centre of how Lyka runs its people processes day to day, and depending on your experience, we're open to hiring at either Associate or Lead level.
What you will do: You'll be the first point of contact for anyone with a People question, whether it's a manager needing guidance on process or a team member wanting clarity on leave or pay,
and you'll know exactly when to loop in the right person if it's outside your lane.
You'll own the employee lifecycle end-to-end for any changes and off-boarding, making sure every system-driven process is accurate, on time and genuinely well-handled for the people going through it.
You'll be the resident expert on our People systems, Rippling included, keeping the data behind the scenes clean and trustworthy.
Beyond the day-to-day, you'll build and refine the documentation, SOPs and workflows that keep us consistent as we scale, deliver People reporting that actually surfaces useful trends, and take real ownership of our cyclical processes like performance reviews and engagement surveys, driving projects end-to-end with the kind of precision and project management that makes things run smoothly rather than just eventually get done.
You'll partner closely with Payroll, Finance and Legal to keep the whole lifecycle moving, and you'll pitch in to support our Facilities Manager from time to time when needed.
Requirements What we are looking for: You've probably spent 2+ years or more in a People Ops, HR Ops or HRIS-focused role, though we're just as excited to talk to you if your background is in Business Operations or Data Analytics, because we know great skills travel.
You've owned and administered an HRIS before (Rippling experience is a big plus), including configuration, troubleshooting and keeping data clean, and you've built a reputation as the go-to person for systems and data wherever you've worked.
You have a genuinely exceptional eye for detail and a strong bias to action, the kind of person who notices when something looks even slightly off and doesn't stop until it's resolved.
You're comfortable moving across a broad tool stack beyond your core HRIS (Notion, Slack, Microsoft and the like), picking up new tools quickly and helping others get comfortable with them too.
You write well, well enough to turn a messy process into a clear SOP, or a tricky message into something warm and easy to act on, and you're confident working with data in Excel.
