Job Description
Colmar Engineering is an established Australian family business specializing in the manufacturing of hydraulic components and spare parts for both local and international clients. We are seeking a CNC milling machinist with at least 5 years' experience to work in a dynamic, jobbing environment, working effectively with a team and independently.

Key responsibilities
n
Set up, program and optimize CNC milling machines
n
Thoroughly read and follow engineering drawings and production documentation
n
Plan processes in compliance with drawings, relevant Australian standards, and other production or testing requirements
n
Ensure safe and proper setup and use of equipment, adhering to all safety protocols
n
Conduct first-piece inspections and subsequent inspections as per Colmar SOP and
customer/Australian
standard requirements
n
Produce high-quality parts according to specified drawings and production documentation
n
Inspect parts for accuracy and quality
n
Safely pack, identify, and move finished parts to the next process/location
n
Monitor consumables stock for the machine and initiate purchases as needed
n
Maintain machine, tools, and equipment in good working condition, requesting maintenance when necessary
n
About you
n
At least 5 years' experience as a CNC milling machinist
n




Knowledge of engineering processes and materials
n
Practical experience to produce high quality precision parts efficiently
n
Knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controllers would be an advantage
n
Previous experience in crane operation is advantageous
n
Observe WHS procedures at all times including reporting hazards and potential risks to management
n
Observe Colmar's Quality Management policies and procedures including relevant SOP's and WOP's
n
Ability to develop positive working relationships with all members of the Colmar Team
n
Ready to respond to change and develop working knowledge of the production environment
n
Stability and security of working with a well-established family business
