Our large group Specialist practice, with main rooms in Spring Hill is seeking
experienced Medical Receptionists,
on a full-time basis (38 hrs/week),who will thrive in a busy rapid paced work environment where teamwork is the key to success.
The people we seek are passionate about patient service, can multi-task with ease and will bring existing skills in medical administration to add value to our growing practice. The successful candidates will have a
flexible approach to working hours
and will be available for a mix of early and late shifts Mondays to Saturdays at our rooms in various locations to accommodate our clinic hours.
Candidates must be available to work occasional Saturday morning shifts as part of the rotating schedule across multiple locations.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide excellent service to our patients and outstanding support to our surgeons as a member of a large and diverse team.
Key Responsibilities of the role will include:
Meet and Greet patients with a smile and your full attention
Billing and receipting, including submitting Medicare claims
Setting appointments
Checking and adding documentation to patient charts




Consulting room preparation and instrument cleaning and sterilising
Preparation for clinics including liaison with patients, referrers and other health care providers
Correspondence and patient enquiries
Essential skills and Attributes required:
Proven track record in excellent patient service
Polite and professional telephone manner
High attention to detail
Positive outlook and ability to multitask with a smile
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to demonstrate a dedicated work ethic
Knowledge of Medicare and Health Fund billing protocols
Minimum 2 years of Receptionist experience in a medical setting
Proficiency in Genie medical software or similar practice management systems is essential
