CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanentfull timeDeck Watchkeeper to join our vessel Osprey, on a roster schedule 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This vesseloperatesin Southen Australia and tansports limestone. The role of a Deck Watchkeeper is to act as the deck and mooring equipment operator. It differs from a traditional Deck Officer position on a blue water vessel.

How will you contribute to our success?
The Deck Watchkeeper willbe responsiblefor;
Bridge,Navigationand watch keeping officer's duties as directed by theMaster;
Deck duties andfunctions ;
Permittedduties and function as specified in Marine Orders71;
Inspection andmaintainingLifesaving and Fire FightingEquipment;
Monitoring, maintenance and inspection of Deck machinery andequipment;
Undertaking cargo watch and ballastingduties;
Administering the medical storesinventory;
Any other duties and responsibilities as may beassigned;

Basic Requirements
Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 71 – Watchkeeper Deck (required)
Hold,



or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)(required)
Minimum 6 months sea time as a Deck Watchkeeper
Certificate of Safety Training (STCW)(desirable)
Work Safely at Heights Certification(desirable)
Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification(desirable)
Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
