Due to our current growth and recent project awards, we are seeking to recruit a Procurement Lead based out at our Head Office in Doncaster, Melbourne.
The Procurement Lead is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of procurement activities across Nacap's tenders and projects, ensuring that goods, services and subcontracted works are sourced, evaluated and finalised in line with Nacap's Procurement Procedure.
What you will do:
Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies aligned to project scope, timelines and commercial objectives
Plan, manage and track procurement activities to ensure timely delivery against tender and project schedules
Establish and maintain Procurement Status Reports (PSR), monitoring progress, risks and key milestones
Chair procurement meetings, driving accountability, resolving issues and ensuring explicit communication across stakeholders
Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFQs, tender evaluations and competitive procurement processes
Manage supplier engagement, ensuring capability, compliance, pricing and delivery requirements are met
Oversee subcontract preparation, governance and execution, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with negotiated outcomes
Identify, monitor and mitigate procurement risks, including vendor performance, long-lead items and compliance requirements
What do you bring?
A nationally recognised Australian tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience managing end-to-end procurement processes,
from planning and sourcing through to contract award and ongoing performance management.
A strong understanding of sourcing strategies, contract structures, tendering processes, and procurement governance.
Experience in the water sector, particularly a strong background in pipeline construction, will be highly regarded.
The ability and willingness to work on site at remote locations across Australia monthly.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with ERP systems.
Experience with Felix procurement software will be advantageous.
A valid Construction Induction Card and Australian Driver's License.
