WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
As a Collection Assistant, you'll play an significant role in maintaining the Library's collections and study spaces, ensuring resources are easy to find and accessible for the JCU community.
Shelve books and journals accurately and maintain collection order.
Conduct shelf checks and collection audits to support collection management projects.
Retrieve, scan and assist with the repair of library materials.




Support collection relocation and maintenance activities.
Help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming library environment.
Identify and report maintenance issues and space constraints.
Provide basic directional assistance and referrals to library users when required.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE ROLE
To be successful, you'll have:
Current enrolment as a JCU student based in Cairns.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
A reliable and proactive approach to work.
Good communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
